UVLIZER Review - It's a Scam

I purchased a Uvlizer from getuvlizer.com in early April, but ended up losing my money, time and sanity. Putting out this review to alert other unsuspecting buyers of this scam company.

1. Does Uvlizer really work? Can it kill Coronavirus?

NOT AT ALL! It's dangerous and foolish to rely on this device for protection from COVID-19. Uvilizer is just a cheap blue light bulb with little to no UV-C emission. If you are a business establishment, DO NOT buy this device, you'll be putting your customers at risk of infection because it's just not capable of sterilizing even the area in its vicinity, let alone the whole room. In order to get any effective sterilization in a 250 sq ft room, you'll have to spend thousands of dollars and bring home a UV device like this one:

UVC Decontamination Trolley

A 3 meter radius coverage means that this 700 W device can disinfect an area of 304.34 sq ft. Compare that to the measly 38 W on the toy called Uvlizer. With that much power it can probably disinfect about 14 sq ft. An average queen size bed has a surface area of 34 sq ft. So, yes, Uvlizer does not work as advertised, it can no way disinfect whole rooms and offices.

Ultraviolet UVC sanitizers can be dangerous and have limited use against coronavirus, warns FDA

2. Uvlizer is not Based in the US.

Although they try hard to make you believe they're American, they're not!

The Uvlizer Facebook page reveals they have no connection with the US whatsoever. From latest reviews cropping up online, the owner of the business is a 20-year-old from Tunisia in Africa. And, more interestingly, there's one location that this scam company wants to hide us from all! Which country could it be?

3. Uvlizer ships from China

Their 7-9 days delivery claim in the US is fake. Since they aren't US based and don't ship from within the US, they probably can never deliver in 9 days. My order was shipped from China and it took it a total of 31 days to arrive. I got a call from the customs office, and I was asked to furnish the real invoice because they thought the value declared on the package was not accurate.

4. Refund policy crafted to scam.

When I contacted their customer service and asked for a refund, they flatly declined my request. I was pointed to their scammy refund policy which says "No refund for SALE items"! Turns out all the products they are selling are on sale, and have been on sale since they started business in April, and will always remain on sale. Which simply means NO REFUNDS whatever your reason may be.

It took me a week long of haggling with their inept customer service until today when they finally agreed on taking the Uvlizer back and refunding my money, but to my surprise, I was supposed to pay for it!

5. Buyer pays the international return shipping cost.

Since Uvlizer isn't US based and the orders arrive from China, I was asked to ship the item back to them internationally and pay the full return shipping cost. I insisted that I'd ship the item back to their US address which they have on their website, but it turned out to be fake and belonging to some mail forwarding company. You'll not get a penny back if you ship to that address anyway.

6. Fake positive reviews & lots of disgruntled customers

Every single one of the reviews they have on their website is fake. I regret not researching elsewhere what people are saying about their product, which is extremely low quality and not worth more than $15. A good place to do your own research is their Facebook page.

They constantly have to delete user comments from their social media pages. You wonder why?

They operate their business on the presumption that customers are idiots. They charge you $80 for a third class product that's not worth more than $15, take over a month to ship it from a corner store in China, their customer service is just slightly better than being non-existent, they craft their refund policies in a way that it becomes impossible for you to get your money back.

In conclusion, I'd advise to stay clear off from this scam company Uvlizer and save your money. There are tons of great UV sterilizers available locally, and for half the price. Don't get conned.

    1. Latest revelation: the owner is a 20 year old kid from Tunisia, Africa. He buys these fake devices from Chinese suppliers and sells them in the US without ever touching any of these himself. No testing, no certification, just plain bullshit claims that will give you a fake sense of security and actually make you more vulnerable to catching the virus.

  2. I have been trying for a month to get my money back. They told me where to return it and send pictures of unit which I did. I was told once they got Uvilizer they would refund my money. I kept emailing them and they have been leading me on. I was a stupid fool for thinking this company was based in the United States. I thought I was safe in ordering this . I got scammed big time!

THESE PEOPLE ARE LIARS AND SCAMMERS
I bought 2 lamps from them directly. I checked their return policy before buying. (Amazon has UV lamps and a great and reputable return policy. I should have gone there). I needed to return them. The policy said that if the item is in the original packaging a return label will be provided. I launched my return. And then I was told that my reason for returning wasn't good enough so I WOULD HAVE TO PAY RETURN SHIPPING! For I month I went round and round until Michael, their rep assured me that if I shipped them back and forwarded the receipt they would reimburse me. So I did that. Not only did they refuse to reimburse me $31 in return shipping, they didn't fully refund me for the cost of the 2 lamps I returned!!! These people are cheats. They are liars. Flat out liars. Once they have your money, they will not return it. Go elsewhere. There are soooo many companies selling UV lamps. These people are cheats.

Is UVlizer (getuvlizer.com) a scam?

Uvlizer is a very clever scam that could prove disastrous for you and your family. Don’t believe the fake reviews, save your money, and your life! There’s absolutely no R&D, testing, or certification work that has gone into this product. It’s just a generic Chinese product with the “Uvlizer” sticker placed on it that’s being sold to you at 4 times the regular price. I spent the whole weekend investigating this product and this fake company, and what I discovered was appalling! Turns out Uvlizer is a ONE-MAN-BUSINESS , and that lone man is none but a 20-year-old Tunisian dude! YES , a 20-year-old “kid” who probably hasn’t earned his college degree yet; who hasn’t ever tried, touched or even seen this product in real life is selling it to you as a safety device and cashing in on your fear during these trying times. That’s plain EVIL! (For your quick reference, Tunisia is a country in Africa, official language is Arabic, and it’s a part of the Arab world.) Now imagine, some dude sitti
